Please be aware of the following upcoming works notices:
Micro Surfacing
May 29 - June 9
Work will be taking place to repair the existing road surface at the following locations:
- Langford Boulevard – from Holland Street and Miller Park
- Line 10 – from County Road 4 and Sideroad 10 and from County Road 4 and the Scanlon Creek entrance
- Line 11 – from County Road 4 to 50 metres west of the Railroad Tracks
- Sideroad 10 – from Line 5 to Line 4
The Contractor is scheduled to begin the work on Monday, May 29th, weather permitting. The entire project is expected to take approximately two weeks to complete once work begins. The work involves sweeping the existing roadway and the placement of a new micro-surfaced wear course. Micro-surfacing is a blend of aggregates and asphalt emulsions which repairs rutting and provides a new road surface.
How you may be affected
Vehicular traffic may be temporarily delayed during the work, and access to residential driveways may be temporarily obstructed until the material cures. Garbage collection and school bus pickup and drop off will not be impacted by the proposed works.
Daily Lane and Sidewalk Closure
May 29 - July 7
Please be aware of daily curb lane and sidewalk closures, in front of the Cachet Harbour housing development along Dissette Street. The Contractor will be closing the curb lane and sidewalk (affecting southbound traffic) daily for the six weeks, starting May 29th. The lane will be opened at the end of each working day, and pedestrian traffic will be redirected to the other side of Dissette Street.
