The Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) requires the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury Water Pollution Control Plant (WPCP) notify the public of any Bypass and Overflow Events.
A Bypass at the Town's WPCP is the diversion of sewage around a treatment process discharging into the natural environment. An overflow is similar but can occur in the Wastewater Collection System and at the WPCP. An overflow is a discharge of sewage into the environment where it is not designed to be discharged.
Both Bypasses and Overflows are extremely rare for the Town's Wastewater System. The table below outlines any occurrences of Overflows and Bypasses and applicable information.
Event Type | Location | Discharge Location | Event Start Time and Date | Event End Time and Date | Volume (m3) of Event |
