Building and Septic Compliance Letters

Property owners/tenants or solicitors can request building and septic compliance letters from Building Division. These letters state that the property complies with the Property Standards By-law and the Building Code Act.

Request a Compliance Letter     

A solicitor will need to provide a letter outlining all the inquiries for the property.

A property owner/tenant will need to fill out our Building & Septic Compliance Request form.

Building Compliance Letters provides confirmation of:

1. Active building permits issued pursuant to the Building Code Act
2. Outstanding inspections under an active building permit
3. Issuance of Occupancy Permit
4. Outstanding Property Standard Violations and/or Work Orders

Septic Compliance Letters provides:

1. Records of a septic system including location and details of a septic system
2. Confirmation of issuance for a septic system permit
3. Outstanding inspections under an active building permit
