Water and Wastewater

The Water Division is responsible for treating, disinfecting, and distributing water to Town residents. They monitor the quantity and quality of the water in compliance with provincial requirements and deal with water quality concerns of the public.

Who Do I Call in a Water Emergency? 
During office hours (Monday to Friday; 8:30 am to 4:30 pm) please contact the Water Division at 905 775 5369. For after-hours water emergencies, please contact South Simcoe Police non-urgent line at 905 775 3311.

Annual ​Reports

Annual Water Quality Reports are prepared each year and are available to the public for review. Additionally, annual drinking water inspections are conducted by the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MOECP) to ensure the municipal drinking water system conforms to all necessary regulatory requirements set out by the Province.

​Water Supply

​The Town's water supply comes from two municipal groundwater wells, along with treated surface water from the Town of Innisfil.

BWG’s drinking water is continually monitored and tested for compliance with the Ontario Drinking Water Quality Standards.

System Maintenance

Preventative maintenance of our water distribution system (including watermains, hydrants and valves) ensures the system is in good shape.

Municipal Drinking Water Licence

Owners of municipal drinking water systems must have a license to operate their systems and incorporate quality management into their operations.
