During the month of July, some train service on the Barrie GO line will be adjusted or replaced with shuttle buses as for important maintenance projects and key infrastructure updates. Please plan accordingly when travelling on the following dates:
Saturday, July 6 and Sunday, July 7
There will be no GO train service on the Barrie line on Saturday, July 6 and Sunday, July 7 while we perform important construction along the corridor. GO buses will run between all stations and the Highway 407 Bus Terminal. There will be no GO Transit service at Downsview Park GO or Union Station.
Construction-related service changes:
- GO Bus Route 68F will serve Allandale Waterfront GO, Barrie South GO, Barrie Bus Terminal, and Highway 407 Bus Terminal.
- GO Bus Route 68G will serve Barrie Bus Terminal, Allandale Waterfront GO, Barrie South GO, Bradford GO, East Gwillimbury GO, Newmarket GO, Aurora GO, King City GO, Maple GO, Rutherford GO, and Highway 407 Bus Terminal.
- GO Bus Route 65H will serve Wellington Street East at Highway 404 Park and Ride, Aurora GO, and Highway 407 Bus Terminal.
- GO Bus Route 65G will serve Aurora GO, King City GO, Maple GO, Rutherford GO, and Highway 407 Bus Terminal.
- GO Bus Route 65J will serve East Gwillimbury GO, Newmarket GO, King City GO, Maple GO, Rutherford GO, and Highway 407 Bus Terminal.
- GO Bus Route 68H will serve Bradford GO, East Gwillimbury GO, Newmarket GO, Aurora GO, Wellington Street East at Highway 404 Park and Ride and Highway 407 Bus Terminal.
There will be no GO Transit service at Downsview GO. If you’re travelling to or from Downsview Park GO, please connect with the following TTC services:
- Travelling to Downsview Park GO or Union Station GO: Take GO Bus services to Highway 407 Bus Terminal to connect to TTC Line 1 (Yonge-University) at Highway 407 station.
- Travelling from Downsview Park GO or Union Station: Take TTC Line 1 (Yonge-University) to Highway 407 station to connect to GO Bus services at Highway 407 Bus Terminal.
Monday, July 8 and Tuesday, July 9
Due to track work near Bradford GO over the weekend, trains need to move slower in this area to give the tracks time to settle. This will mean a track slow order will be in affect Monday, July 8 through to end of service Tuesday, July 9.
Construction-related service changes:
- Morning southbound trains to Union will be adjusted at Bradford GO station to depart three minutes later than currently scheduled.
- The 1:08 pm and 9:10 pm will depart Allandale Waterfront GO two minutes earlier than currently scheduled.
- Some northbound trains from union station will depart up to two minutes earlier or later than usual. View schedules prior to travelling.
- Trains will arrive two minutes later than scheduled at Aurora GO and continue two minutes later than scheduled at each station after to Allandale Waterfront GO.
- The 12:54 pm and 8:59 pm from Union Station originally to Aurora GO will terminate at Maple GO with a bus replacement trip connection.
To facilitate this work, no Barrie trains can enter Union Station for a 16-hour and 8-hour period. This will result in the following service modifications:
Saturday, July 13
Construction will be taking place on the Union Station Rail Corridor as we continue to work on the new Ontario Line and will have the following impacts:
Southbound:
- The 6:51 a.m., 8:01 am, 11:05 am, and 2:05 pm train trips departing Allandale Waterfront GO will end at Downsview Park GO.
- The 9:55 am, 10:55 am, 12:55 pm, and 1:55 pm train trips departing Aurora GO will end at Downsview Park GO.
- Service to Union Station will be reinstated with the 3:55 pm train trip departing Aurora GO.
- For customer travelling to Union Station, bus connections are available at Rutherford GO and Aurora GO.
- Bus connections at Rutherford GO have a 7–12 minute connection time with the train.
- Route 67L will operate between Union Station and Rutherford GO.
- There are 4 express trips to Union Station departing from Aurora GO, at 10:50 am, 10:55 am, and 1:50 pm, 1:55 pm.
- Customers looking to travel to Union Station, from Downsview Park GO, can connect to TTC Line 1.
Northbound:
- The 8:52 am, 9:54 am, 10:54 am, 11:54 am, 12:54 pm, 1:54 pm, 2:54 pm, and 3:54 pm train trips departing Union Station are cancelled.
- Service from Union Station will be reinstated with the 4:54 pm train trip departing Union Station to Aurora GO.
- For customers intending to travel further north than Downsview Park GO, bus connections are available between Union Station Bus Terminal and Rutherford GO.
- There are four express trips, Route 65C from Union Station to Aurora GO, departing at 9:55 am, 10:00 am, and 12:45 pm, 12:50 pm.
- Route 65L operates between Union Station Bus Terminal and Rutherford GO, departing at 8:35 am, 8:40 am, 9:35 am, 10:30 am, 10:35 am, 11:30 am, 11:35 am, 12:30 pm, 1:15 pm, 1:20 pm, 2:15 pm, 2:20 pm, 3:15 pm, 3:20 pm.
- Customers travelling from Union Station to Downsview Park GO will connect to TTC Line 1.
