The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA), requires that municipalities consult with the public regarding the need for accessible taxicabs and transportation in the community. The Town of BWG’s Accessibility Advisory Committee (AAC) is looking at options to increase inclusive transportation for all residents.
An Accessible Taxicab survey has been prepared to investigate the potential need for additional accessible transportation options within the BWG community.
“I encourage our community to participate in the survey, which will support our AAC in determining the accessible transportation needs of our residents, particularly when it comes to local taxicab services.” – Mayor James Leduc
The Accessible Taxicab Survey will be available online for a period of 4 weeks (from 9:00 am on Wednesday, August 16 to 5:00 pm on Wednesday, September 13).
