BWG Fire Department Fire Warns Residents About Fire Safety Scam

“Resident safety is our top priority. Our Fire Department will never pressure homeowners to make costly or unnecessary upgrades. If you encounter someone suspicious or is unverified as a Town employee, report them to the authorities. We are committed to protecting our community from fraud.” – Mayor James Leduc

Although the Town does send employees door to door as part of routine fire safety inspections and awareness programs, it is crucial for residents to ensure that anyone visiting their home is a certified BWG employee. Always ask for identification, including a badge and employee ID, to verify that they are part of the Fire Department or another authorized Town service.
