The Simcoe County Housing Corporation has opened online applications for affordable housing rentals at the BWG affordable housing building.
The building includes 50 mixed affordable residential units for families and seniors with one, two, and three-bedroom units. In addition to housing units the building will also be home to a County of Simcoe Social and Community Services office and community agencies including the Simcoe County District School Board and Ontario works, offering easy access to vital community services.
Applications are on a first-come-first-served basis and are subject to approval by the Simcoe County Housing Corporation, as per their guidelines for affordable rentals. Applications require online submission on the County of Simcoe website at simcoe.ca/BWG-development and must be submitted prior to July 16, 2024.
In order to be considered, a complete application and all supporting documents must be provided, including copies of Canadian Birth Citizenship (or Landed Immigrant or Refugee Status) for each person listed on the application, as well as a 2023 Notice of Assessment for all household members 16 years of age and above who are not in school full time. Applications and supporting documents must be provided prior to July 16, 2024 in order for the application to be considered complete.
