2023 Coldest Night of the Year

Proclamation

Coldest Night of the Year Week​, February 19 - 25, 2023​

WHEREAS:

Transitional Aged Youth are both at high risk for life challenges and are underserviced by existing programming; and

WHEREAS: 

70% of mental health problems appear during adolescence; and

WHEREAS: 

we understand the pandemic has been especially difficult for the youth in our community; and

WHEREAS: 

we value our youth and want to see them succeed in life; and

WHEREAS: 

Coldest Night of the Year on February 25th is raising funds for Youth Call Service Link, an initiative to help at-risk youth in our community. We encourage all community members to participate by either walking or donating in support of this cause. 

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:

That His Worship Mayor James Leduc and Members of Council proclaim February 19 - 25, 2023 as COLDEST NIGHT OF THE YEAR WEEK in the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury.
