A Kennel Licence is required in order to operate a kennel where animals are kept overnight for remuneration for the purposes of breeding, housing, feeding and/or maintenance.
The Kennel Licence is valid for one (1) year and expires on June 30th annually. The fee for the licence is $300 or $200 for a renewal (charges from external agencies may apply).
You Are Required to Submit:
- A completed Application Form.
- A Police Vulnerable Sector Check (dated within 90 days and received from the Police Service where you reside).
- Photo identification (driver's license or passport are accepted).
- Registered business information.
- A certificate of general liability insurance ($2,000,000 minimum).
- Zoning approval (to verify Zoning compliance please contact Community Planning at 905 775 5369 ext. 1400).
- A site plan.

- BWG Animal Control (905 775 5366 ext..1702)
