Holland Street Servicing Study |

Project Description This study evaluated the Town’s existing infrastructure along the Holland Street corridor between Professor Day Drive and Bridge Street, as well as the area along Dissette Street between Bridge Street and 225 Dissette St. This evaluation identified the planning and design of new infrastructure required to service new development in this area.
Background: The new OPA27 requires a significant densification within the study area including the development of multi-story buildings that will house a combination of commercial and residential space. This new development will require additional water and sanitary servicing capacity and the study will give the Town an indication of how best to implement the increased requirements while minimizing impacts to existing businesses and residents along the two corridors.

Parking Lot A (John & Moore St.) |

Project Description This project included the reconstruction of the John and Moore Street parking lot. The reconstruction works provided improvements to the parking lot. The reconstruction of the parking lot included storm sewers, retaining wall, curbs, asphalt and lighting.

Bond Head Sanitary Pumping Station |

Project Description This pump station conveys sanitary flows from development within Bond Head to the Waste Water Treatment Plant in Bradford.
Background In order for Bond Head to expand in population, it was necessary to provide a solution for the sanitary flows that new development would bring. Through the planning and design process, it was determined that a new pump station would be the best solution. The new pump station conveys flows south along County Rd 27 to Line 6 where the flows continue easterly crossing under Hwy 400 where they turn south and discharge into a new pumping station located at Line 5 & Hwy 400 Interchange. From there the flows are pumped along various routes to the Bradford WWTP.

Bond Head Water Tower | ||||||||||||||||||||||

Project Description This project was initiated to construct a new water tower facility located at 4020 County Road 88 to meet the water distribution needs required to service future development of Bond Head and the "employment lands" located along Highway 400 between County Road 88 and Line 5.
Background As per Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury Official Plan, Bond Head Settlement Area and Employment Lands along Highway 400 are designated for future growth. To accommodate land use changes and future servicing demand in the area including benefit to existing, various infrastructures as are required for construction including a water storage facility. The project is being initiated to make the lands ready for developments in employment lands (OPA 15) and support ongoing development in Bond Head (OPA 16), prompting the need for new water storage facility to maintain fire flows, etc.
The Master Servicing Study for Planned Service Area, 2010, prepared by R. J. Burnside and Associates Limited satisfied the Schedule B requirements in accordance with the Municipal Engineers Association (MEA) Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (as amended in 2007 and 2010) under the Environmental Assessment Act. The Study identified preliminary requirements of an elevated water storage facility to provide adequate level of service to the Bond Head and Hwy 400 employment area.

Servicing for Official Plan Amendment 15 & 16 Lands | ||||||||||||||||||||||

Project Description This project was initiated to construct roads and install sewers and watermains to prepare the “employment lands” located in the area of Highway 400 between County Road 88 and Line 5 for new development, and to service the community of Bond Head. This is referred to as the OPA 15/16 Linear Works Project. The project also included two pumping stations to serve the employment lands and the Bond Head area.
Background The Ontario Municipal Board approved two Official Plan Amendments (OPAs) in the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury:

Highway 400/Line 5 Interchange | ||||||||||||||||||||||
Completed in: 2018 Sector: Road Construction & Infrastructure Replacement
Project Description This project was initiated to build a new interchange on Highway 400 at Line 5. The project includes construction of a new bridge on Line 5 over the Highway, widening Line 5 to four lanes, and the installation of traffic signals, street lights, watermains and forcemains. The construction will also include realigning Sideroad 5, Coffey Road and Fraser Creek.
Background: The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury initiated a Schedule 'C' Municipal Class Environmental Assessment in 2009 after a Transportation Master Plan (OPA17) was completed in 2006. The Transportation Master Plan determined that existing traffic capacity was insufficient to accommodate projected population growth and future employment development. In 2010 the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment was completed and resulted in the selection of the preferred Parclo A-4 Interchange.

Line 8 Watermain | ||||||||||||||||||||||

Project Description This project was initiated to connect a new watermain trunk line to Bradford with Bond Head along Line 8 from Sideroad 10 to County Road 27. The watermain is also to continue south along Sideroad 5 and County Road 27 to County Road 88. Full-depth road reconstruction is also planned along Line 8 between Sideroad 10 and Highway 400.
