Giving Back During this Holiday Season

Today is Giving Tuesday!

The holiday season is the perfect time to give back to your local community. For many, it’s a time of year when they rely on the generosity of their community to get through the holidays.

There are several ways of giving back throughout BWG, and on this Giving Tuesday we are sharing some of the local campaigns that residents can participate in this holiday season.

Notice of Block Pruning

The Town will be pruning the tree in the boulevard area adjacent to your home within the next few months and winter. The tree is on the Town-owned road-easement (boulevard) property and is a valuable asset owned by the Town.

The tree will be pruned by a certified Arborist to remove lower branches to lift the canopy on all sides. The canopy will be lifted so that the larger vehicles such as snow plow trucks and street sweepers can do their street work safely and effectively. Pruning will also...

Notice of Public Open House - Highway 11 Corridor Study  The Township of King invites you to attend a Public Open House on the Highway 11 Corridor Study. The purpose of the Study is to develop an implementing land use framework (policies and zoning) for lands within the Study Area. The Public Open House will provide an opportunity for participants to learn about the Study, and to get involved in developing the vision for the Study Area.
